Wishful Thinking

I used to be a dreamer. Seriously, the imagination is such a weird thing. It may just be the creation of mere illusions, yet it is so welcoming and infinite in capacity. Oftentimes, I would find myself lost in a daydream of two, and everything that seemed intangible before would suddenly be within my grasp. It truly is a powerful feeling. Living in a paradise of my own creation, I would lose myself in its radiant perfection and succumb to the most beautiful of minds.

Here is a poem my friend Korin and I wrote for fun when we were back in high school. We had all the time in the world back then ;)

If only

If only...
Like dandelion dust
Dots of fluffy white that sparkle bright
We could float away
To the depths of our sinful desires.

If only the nocturnal moon
Would draw in the darkness I felt
I'd wish upon a star every night.
If only I knew
When the sky planned to shoot its stars.

If only tears fall from rooftops
And smiles shine through windows,
If only I knew life as you do.

Dusty floors
Lawns outgrown
Messy beds
Frayed curtains...
If only there was a housekeeper for the heart.

If only you knew our chemical reaction
The effect of your presence
Catalyzing time and mind.

If only I could break it to you
Like a vase crashing to the ground
Spilling its contents.
If only less dramatic.

If only I believed in miracles
If Only
Oh

If only dandelion dust
Would make magic,
Let us fall in love twice again.

Hello!

So this is my first post. I have to admit doing something for the first time can be somewhat intimidating, yea? Anyway, blogging seems to be the "trendy" thing to do right now. I'm actually the type of person that likes to observe and keep their thoughts to themselves, but I do enjoy creativity and love how a mere few words can have the power to inspire, haunt, and entertain. It also intrigues me to no end how the internet can bring individuals from all across the globe to one place - a place where we can step aside from our lives for just a while and do whatever we want. Thus, here I am.

I'd like to keep this one short and simple, and end on a happy note :)
